These photos are from two images I have from Rosedale. One is the Ramsey Pool and the Ramsey Red Fish Swim team that proudly rallies year after year to swim in Ramsey Park's name. Our team is never the largest, however our swimmers are the happiest, friendliest, most polite kids around and eager to return to the water every summer. This has brought life into the pool and park, encouraged families to come together, and given these kids excitement and ownership to their neighborhood.
A good example is alumni swimmer Joseph O'Hara, who saw needs at his pool and park and made his Eagle Scout project to beautify the pool and meet needs the city cannot. Joseph set goals and met those goals with support from teh swim team families, neighbors, his own family, and local businesses, all of which helped him reach his goals an dreach higher than he ever dreamed for Ramsey. I hope future children in this neighborhood can follow in his footsteps and I feel the team encourages that ownership and pride in their neighborhood.
